Problem Statement
How do we maintain Telegram community growth & increase smartphone sales?
In Adopting Cryptocurrency Payment, I mentioned that this project quickly gained Web3 social media traction after launching, so our team wanted to maintain the social media traffic and increase user growth to build a community for our ecosystem.
Solution
Introducing a rewards program limited for our 12,000 early adopters aka The Founders.
Incentivize Users
As a business strategy, our team concluded that a rewards program will help encourage buyers to continuously engage with our products.
Build Loyalty
Limiting the rewards to founders will help them develop loyalty with our brand and create a FOMO mentality for those who have not yet purchased.
Actionable Insights
Competitor’s reward programs
Buyers will often compare products to its competitors, so we needed to understand the landscape to determine the differentiating factor for UBS.

Solana dominates the Web3 smartphone landscape with its extensive rewards program.
In Solana’s current referral program, phone buyers are only able to claim NFT if the user is ranked on it’s leaderboard based on number of referrals.
Rewards ≠ Referrals, Rewards = Loyalty
Instead of tying rewards to the number of referrals like Solana, we want to reward the early buyers who have shown loyalty to our product.

Findings
Users want to be rewarded for their purchase, since there is an expectation of earning rewards from competitors.
Having a rewards program, allows users to interact with our platform and increase user growth and phone sales.

Manual Verification --> Wallet Address to Verify
To simplify the process and avoid the hassle of users manually entering their information, our team decided that it would be more intuitive if our backend database can verify for the users through connecting wallet.
Progress Bar --> Navigations Tabs
Since we have decided to verify through wallet address, then we are able to simplify the steps so having a progress bar wouldn’t be helpful for the users. We replaced it with navigation tabs, allowing users to switch between different reward pages.

Allow users to agree with our terms and policy before claiming

As a reward for being a loyal supporter of our product, an unboxing animation helps gratify the unboxing experience.
Confirmation
Review to confirm claiming and allow users to see the points they have earned from this action.

Listen to user feedback and needs
After conducting competitive analysis, we were able to better position our rewards program. Through the Telegram community research, we listened to user feedback and it worked!
IMPACT
50% increase in community members
35% increase in phone sales
We saw an increase in our numbers after launching the rewards program. The community was engaged in sharing referral links leading to a gain in sales and members from referrals.
